Time to go out and play

The weather is just lovely here this weekend....in the 70s and sunny, everything spring should be. There are kids out on bikes all over the neighborhood, and everyone is walking their dogs, weeding their gardens, and even grilling burgers for dinner. Yum.

I walked the dog and picked up more sticks from our giant maple tree yesterday, then I came in and opened all the windows and picked up around the house a bit. Then I sat down to work on Katrina's RR. She requested "primitive" blocks, and suggested designers like Little House Needleworks, Carriage House Samplings, Blackbird Designs...and of course, I don't have anything usable by ANY of those designers. *sigh* But I sat down with one of my favorite Homespun Elegance patterns ("Olde Shaker Tune"), a book of sampler motifs, and the giant bag of floss that Katrina included, and came up with a square that I think is very appropriate and in keeping with her theme. Here is my progress so far:Katrina asked that we stitch all the way to the edge of the block, so that is Judith's showing on the left-hand side. The vine is from the Homespun Elegance pattern, and the house is from my sampler book. It will be sitting on a little hill, and I have a few other plans for the bottom and right side of the block!

Now I'm going back outside!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend...

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
