Every now and then I make a pass through our local thrift store. They rarely have a lot in the way of craft supplies, but every so often I get lucky...and even if I don't, I can usually grab a new pair of pants or a top for my ever-growing offspring. But this weekend I found these!!
The 4" wooden hoops were 19 cents apiece, and I want to use them to make one of Vonna's embroidery hoop boxes (the instructions are for 6" hoops, but the process should be the same). And the magazine is an old issue of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts - I had the issue with the first part of this series, and now I just need to find the last one. (I may never stitch the whole series, but my crafter's OCD means that I have to HAVE the whole set.) And I got everything for under $2!

What a lovely bargain!
Great find. I will keep a look out for the issue you are missing if you would like. You never know. I might he able to help with your search.
Bargains galore!
I quite agree about having the whole series too.
Hi Erin,
Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. The Stitcher's Wallet chart is no longer just an exclusive to the Ladies' Prim Society members. The directions for the finishing made it really easy, even for a finishing challenged stitcher like me!I was just looking at yours and I really like your stitching. Your necklace looks awesome! Aren't Vonna's tutorials great? I just worked on a flatfold using her instructions which I hope to post about soon. I look forward to seeing your hoop box.
Michele
