The quilt is back

I know, I know, you all are stitchers and this is a stitching blog, so you expect to see stitching...but I'm just so PROUD.
The top is about 40" x 50", so a decent crib/lap size.  And there IS some stitching in there, after all -- the little piece at the bottom reads, "Where you believe there is magic...you will find it.  Love, Mom."  The dark brown print will be the backing, and the light pink is for binding.  Now, just to get it actually quilted!!!  A friend has offered to help me with that, so we'll see.  My piecing is by no means perfect, but I love it.  I love the colors, the fabric patterns, and the many different 9-patches that make up the whole thing.  I consider my 9-patch obsession an homage to my grandma -- almost every quilt she made was a 9-patch, and they were never perfect.

So there it is.  I know I owe you all a WIPocalypse post, so hopefully we'll get back to sporadic posts of actual stitching soon.....

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
