Finished!

I think I'm done with this one...the pattern calls for some additional white French knots in the lilac clusters (to "add depth," it says?), but I like it the way it is. Also, I did teeny-tiny knots, and the model stitcher did larger ones, so I think the delicate texture I've got right now is perfect. (And DH agrees!)

Once again, a wonky picture in terms of color....my Daylight must have been at a funny angle. ::sigh:: It isn't really as dark as it looks at the top. In terms of finishing, while it is a needleroll-sized piece, I think I want it framed. It reminds me of the backyard of my childhood home, and makes me smile, so it deserves a "special" place, I think!

Now I'm on to the next baby piece. I found a teeny little sampler-style square in the free "baby collection" mini-book that came with an issue of the UK magazine World of Cross Stitching. It is about 3 1/2 inches square, so similar to the Lizzie Kate "Welcome Baby" piece that I finished last month. So cute...it has rows of piglets, bunnies, sheep, and little yellow ducks.

That's beautiful. I used to have the most beautiful lilac bush at my old house. I miss it!
