If you were to come across a sampler chart that caught your eye and appealed to you, would you or would you not stitch it if it had a morbid or "creepy" saying on it? If not, why?
Sure I would! In fact, I love the more "non-traditional" (or in some cases, traditional!) sampler verses. Since I rarely do samplers anyway, something bizarre that made me smirk or chuckle would be a lot more likely to make it onto my wish list. With all the Halloween-y stitching going around the boards and blogs lately, "Salem Sisters" - I can't remember the designer! - keeps catching my eye....
*sigh* I really should have taken a "mental health" sick day today....I spent yesterday dealing with some supreme idiocy. Technology, miscommunication, and people who think they know more than they really do can be a BAAAAAAD combination. As a result, I feel a bit like a drooling fool this morning -- I'm so burned out. Hmmm. I think I need to read a few blogs and keep myself away from eBay and the 25%-off sale over at Stitching Bits & Bobs!! LOL
