A big thank you to Jo!!

Yesterday I emailed KiwiJo, asking if she would share her method for making those cute little flanged pillows, and she replied right away with some great instructions! It inspired me to finally get stitching again. I got out the flosses for Britty Kitty's "Kitty with Frog" design, which I plan on finishing for my mom. It was going to be a little "kitty memorial" gift, but now I'm thinking I'll just add it to her Christmas gifts. Less shopping pressure for me, and I know she loves my hand-made things! I already have the perfect fabbies for the pillow - I picked them up a few months ago knowing what I wanted to do but just not sure HOW to do it. I'm missing the Kudzu that I'm supposed to use for the little frog, but I can improvise with some DMC, or maybe one of the Six-Strand Sweets colors? Hmmm. I also love the fact that Brittercup designs seem to stitch up so quickly -- just an hour or so of stitching, and I already have most of the little kitty done!

I also started laying out the flosses for the Homespun Elegance "Sisters/Forever Friends" pattern that I'm want to finish as a potpourri sachet bag for my sister, using Dani's tutorial. Tonight I'm going shopping - my black dress shoes are in a truly sad state! - and I'll probably stop at Michael's for the few skeins I didn't find in the floss box.

Hooray for being bitten by the stitching bug once again!!!
