I finished the Santa square. He actually could be an ornament, maybe - the finished size is about 4 1/8" high by 3 1/4" wide.
stitched on Silkweaver opalescent lugana "Moondust", floss changed to DMC 815
Neither my camera or my scanner seem to be able to pick up the sparklies...oh well. At least the colors seem more accurate in this pic.
Question for those of you who have entered and/or won the Silkweaver's Showcase - do you enter your pieces framed or unframed? Most of the pics I've seen posted on the website were unframed. I have pics of "Once Upon a Time" both before and after framing. Since it was framed with glass, the unframed pic definitely shows the colors better....hmmm.
Oh, and Lisa asked about my "Crusty Chicken" - it was from a magazine called "Cooking for 2," published by Taste of Home. This magazine has been invaluable for DH and I, and most of the recipes would be easy enough to double or triple if necessary. I don't have the recipe in front of me, but it was basically boneless skinless chicken breasts dipped in flour, then egg, then shredded Parmesan cheese, browned in a skillet, and then sprinkled with lemon juice and baked in a casserole dish until cooked through. (I actually used some of the Tyson chicken breast tenders that we got in a giant bag from the wholesale club, and they worked just fine....) I'll look up the exact recipe and email it to you if you like, Lisa! Let me know.

No need to email me the recipe, the direction you gave are good. I have some chicke thawing for dinner tonight that I was going to make fajita's wiht, but I think I might change that now.
Thank you!!
