When you stitch from a kit and use the supplied floss do you have leftovers? If so, how much and what do you do with them? If not, do you usually have just enough or do you have to dig into your stash to finish?
Well, I rarely stitch from kits...and when I do, they are usually the cheap little 97-cent ornament kits (I stuff them in purses and suitcases for travel projects). I've never run out of floss with those, and I just toss whatever is left over. It is kind of satisfying! I generally toss leftover DMC/6-strand floss, too. I did do one kit that included some WDW hand-dyed floss -- that I labelled and saved, because there was quite a bit left when I finished. And I've had to paw through my stash for a close match after I ran out while working on an old kit from Golden Bee Stitchery - they had floss numbers on the key, but the numbers didn't seem to correspond to any brand of floss I could find. (Egad, how I despised that project - actually, I think that was the one that put me off kits forever.....)
