Speed stitching....still insane, though

So as I mentioned in the post below, I started and completely finished one ornament over the weekend. I started Ornie #2 Sunday night, and only have the border left to finish before I can "ornamentize" it and add it to the completed gift pile. I NEVER stitch this fast!! Holy cow, 2 ornaments in less than a week.....

I'm thinking I'll do a mini basket for my SIL -- the pattern that seems to calling the loudest is the "Flowered Bed" kitty in a heart from the issue of Country Stitch that has TW's Tole Heart. Dani stitched it when she borrowed the mag from me, which is probably why the design came to mind! But I think it is the perfect size for one of the little lidded baskets I picked up at A.C. Moore a while back.

I've also found out that DH's brother will be bringing his girlfriend...and apparently she is "a keeper," to quote him. I would really like to do something for her, too -- a kind of "welcome to the family" thing (since he has told me that he wants to marry her!). The thing is, where the stepbrothers and their families are VERY Christian and traditional, BIL is not. So while I know that the first batch of ornies with traditional Christmas designs will be appreciated by the stepbrothers' wives, I'm pretty sure I need to do something a little different for the girlfriend. BIL told me she likes dragons and fantasy stuff....and I do have the Dragon Dreams' ornies from the JCS issues. I'm just not sure how fast I could stitch one up. This pace might kill me!!

(Oh, and I WILL have pics eventually. It is just really hard to scan some of this stuff, and I still don't have a digital camera. DH has promised me one for Christmas, though....)

Isn't it fun when you get into that rhythm where you can just fly through projects! Your family is very lucky that you are so generous. Happy stitching!
