As promised!
First, the framed "Peep" birth sampler:
And second, the first of the "ornie marathon" finishes. I changed the red in the boy's shirt and hat from DMC 356 (too pink, IMO) to 815, and added the beads to the border. I backed it with some red fabric, added green ribbon trim, and glued 3 red jingle bells to the top...
Oh, and earlier today I won an eBay auction for a pattern I've been hunting for since I saw it in a BB member's gallery a year or 2 ago...John Clayton's "Bookworms." C'mon, I'm a librarian, I HAD to have that one!

Both of your finished pieces are lovely - your ornie turned out great ... I still haven't attempted putting my first one together yet - oh well, still 6 weeks to go unti xmas haha. I know what you mean about being a home-body ... I like the quiet life at home too - visits are nice, if they're short ;)
Your ornie looks so nice. You did such a nice job finishing it. I also like the color change you made I've noticed several I'm planning to stitch are too pinky too.
Looks great! I love the lettering around the chick - what colour is that (I assume it is an overdyed)?
