What is the most challenging specialty stitch you have ever stitched?
Hmmm. Sadly, I have to confess that I tend to avoid specialty stitches....I'm easily intimidated! And I often worry that I'll "screw up" an otherwise lovely piece with a crappily-executed specialty stitch. I did learn Smyrna crosses and Algerian eyelets - no problem there - and doing "Blessed Are the Piecemakers" gave me a chance to learn the rice stitch. My French knots are generally ok. I suppose my biggest stitch-headache came from some specialty knots in a JCS ornie. They were knotted diamond stitches -- I eventually gave up and just used some little red beads!! So I didn't actually LEARN how to do them....

*yawn* I stayed up entirely too late last night watching our DVD boxset of Smallville. I've never really been into the whole Superman/superhero scene, but DH got these for a song when he was working at Media Play. And I got hooked....same thing that happened when he convinced me to watch an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer...
Ugh. Must do work. Is it Friday yet?
