I've already posted this in my Cyberstitchers gallery and on the Needle & Thread BB, but thought I'd post it here as well. This is "Blessed Are the Piecemakers" by Dragon Dreams. It will be a gift for DH's grandmother, who quilts and collects angels. I stitched it on 32-ct. light taupe Lugana, and made a few changes. 1) I made the angel's eyes blue - like mine! - instead of green, 2) I put Grandma's initials in the center square of the quilt the angel is holding, and 3) I used a navy heart button instead of the tulip heart button used in the model.
It really was a quick stitch - it took me about a month. Hopefully by the end of the summer I'll be able to afford some framing!!!
Now, back to my "Once Upon a Time" castle, since I have more metallic thread.....
