Where does the time go? Yikes!
So far this year, I've completely dropped the ball on the goals I tried to set. The TUSAL and WIPocalypse posts aren't happening, I haven't joined any more exchanges, and I've barely worked on the projects I listed. :( I know DH is really anticipating the finish of "Labyrinth," but it still feels like such a chore to get it out and work on it. I think part of this is because I'm stitching in hand, which for some reason makes it harder for me to set it down/pick it up when I need to wrangle the toddler or do some other household chore.
I HAVE been stitching on the chickens, and the Little One likes to "help"...she'll pull the needle through and then hand it to me, saying, "now you make X, Mama!" So cute. Slow, but cute nonetheless. I'll try to post a pic later.
I also sold some of my stash on eBay...and then promptly turned around and spent the little bit of profit I made by signing up for Passione Ricamo's latest Mystery SAL (its a mermaid, I couldn't resist!) and buying a piece of fabric from another stitcher on the 123Stitch board. But I do need to curtail the stash purchases again, as we've decided that we need to put new siding on our house. And then when we talked with the contractors, it became obvious that 1) we need new windows as well, 2) it makes sense to do it all at the same time, and 3) once you've taken out a loan of a certain size, what's a few thousand dollars more? Eesh. I just keep telling myself that by the end of the summer I'll have a much more attractive and weather-tight home (that we'll be paying for until our daughter is in grade school).
