Stashlust

I seem to go through these phases, where all I want to do is drool over new patterns....

Yesterday I got a (small) order from Stitching Bits & Bobs. I picked up another Just Nan design from their clearance pages, and I finally broke down and bought Homespun Elegance's 2011 ornament, "Jingle Jingle". This will be my ornament for my daughter this year! (Last year - her first Christmas -was the Santa Factory design by Heartstrings.) I like signing them with my little "<3, MOM"...

I also found something on the Bay of Evil. Several months ago I checked out one of the Vanessa-Ann "Holidays in Cross Stitch" books, and found a couple designs I liked. Granted, some of the designs in those books are a bit dated, but some are really sweet! However, checking out pattern books is really not the best strategy for stitchers - at least, not a stitcher like me who has good intentions and then lets things sit for weeks/months/years... So when I saw a set of 9 of those books going for less than $15 (including shipping), I couldn't talk myself out of it.

Now, I'm pretty picky about the kinds of "reproduction" -style samplers that I like, but for reason several designs from The Primitive Needle have been calling my name rather loudly. I loved the Earth Sampler back when it first came out, and I still do.... And Simply Live, as well. Maybe I can blame the impending autumn for my lusting after Tombstone Spots and Wicked Alphabet??
