Carol posted that she received my little thank you gift, so now I can share this! This is Praiseworthy Stitches' Christmas Poinsettia Ornament, from the latest issue of The Gift of Stitching. I saw it and immediately thought of Carol, working on her Quaker Christmas piece!! I had to swap out some of the colors - I used WDW Turkish Red for the red and The Dye Is Cast Split Pea for the lighter shade of green. Making the banner was a bit of an undertaking for me.....this was the first time I've made a "pointed" banner, and also the first time I did a rolled pocket for the dowel hanger instead of just adding tabs to the top. I'm so glad you like it, Carol! (The picture on Carol's blog includes the soap I included in the package -- a locally-made giftie that I thought was kind of neat.)
In other news, DH goes for his sleep study tonight....perhaps there is an end in sight (or would that be earshot) for the snore-filled nights??? Since he'll be away for the evening, I'll be stitching away on Santa's Garden!

The ornament is lovely! Great finishing, too! With your husband gone tonight, I'm sure you'll get a fantastic and quiet night's sleep, too! I hope they find a way to help his snoring. My hubby snores only rarely, when he's over-tired, and even that little bit makes me batty.
Beautiful piece and finish!
I hope your husband's sleep study goes well:)
What a beautiful piece and a great finish~~ I love the red you used here.
