An Important Life Lesson

I finished this up yesterday -- it will be a gift for another renaissance faire friend. She is a vendor at my faire, and I've "worked" for her the past couple summers. I stitched this up for her because...well....it seems like a lesson we've both tried to teach each other from time to time...

Sue Hillis Designs freebie - Big Girl Panties
stitched on 32-ct. lambswool
finished as a box topper -- box stained with cherry varnish, edged with pink ribbon and a charm

I considered finishing this as another bag, but in addition to being a vendor, she's also a seamstress. And while I'm sure she'd appreciate the work I put in, I'd hate for her to be thinking, "eek, what did she DO??" when she looks at my mediocre sewing skills!

All of my faire gifts will be delivered this Sunday, since it will probably be my only weekend at the Faire this year. *sigh* Because.......I GOT A NEW JOB!!! Yep, they called me yesterday and offered me the position, and I accepted. So instead of stitching for the next month or so, I'll be packing like a madwoman, hoping to sell this house and find a decent place to rent in our new hometown.....

Congrats on the new job! That's terribly exciting although having to pack is not. Good luck.

BTW, I adore your gypsy wagon and how you fit it perfectly with the building next to it on the R. lol Too cool.

I really like the finishing idea. I stitched this for my mom, and finished it as a pillow. Of course, I forgot to take a picture of it. :)

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
