Is it still winter??

I think Mother Nature is getting confused here in NW PA....today it was raining and windy, and felt like spring! Not at all wintry. (Not that I'm complaining, though!)

I spent the weekend stitching on the chickadee wreath. After doing more of the endless confetti, I finally got to a point where I could add some of the backstitching (on the right-hand side...some brown curly twigs and the outlining on the berries). I actually enjoy backstitching like that, where it is more than just an outline.

Oh, and Missy Ann asked what fabric I was using for this...it is another Silkweaver solo. In fact, it is the other half of the piece that I used for the Old Books sampler! I thought it provided a nice background, and looked suitably "woodsy."

Your little birdie is coming along nicely. The fabric is beautiful and suits it indeed.

Your chickadee looks terrific on this fabric. It will be so pretty when you finish it.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
