Well, I've done it....I've taken the plunge and joined my first RR!! Thanks Carol, for giving me the opportunity to play....
So now I'm toying with theme ideas. My first thought was to have everyone do something book-related, but that could get complicated and frustrating. So then I thought about my own worries regarding this (that I'll have trouble finding patterns of an appropriate size, or that I won't be able to suitably "personalize" a square for someone...), and an old hobby of mine, dollhouse building, and it hit me to try a "small square" theme. Instead of large squares, maybe I could do small ones, and folks could use the various "little houses" that can be found in any number of patterns (there are generally a couple of them every year in the JCS ornie issue alone!). And in the center square, I was thinking of charting a line I love from a country song...."Love grows best in little houses." But would people have ENOUGH room to customize their square if it is small??? Hmmm. Help me out here!!

I am such a dummy and don't understand round robins at all or how they work! Good luck on coming up with something.
That sounds like a good idea as houses are quick to stitch and there are loads of patterns in mags for them. Little cottages too.
I love the idea. I have a set of victorian houses that I wanted to put on an afghan for the livingroom with a "home" quote.
Depending on how "little" you mean by "little" your plan sounds like it will work fine. A square big enough to hold, say one of the Elizabeth's Designs houses from the JCS ornie issue should give folks enough room to personalize their dwelling to their liking. It sounds like a neat idea.
Hi!
I found a site with a lot of free patterns - visit and enjoy!
