Quick Update

I talked with DH about the wedding gift last night...he admitted that the reaction may have been due in part to "man-to-man" communication. He told his buddy that I'd done a "pastel beach scene in cross stitch". Ummm, yeah. Not exactly! But nonetheless, I'm keeping it. hehehe I'm going to make it into a little drawstring bag, and DH and I are going to fill it with beach shells and love notes - since this IS going to be our 5th anniversary trip.

Last night I did a bit of finishing - here is the tole heart design by Theresa Wentzler that I stitched up almost 2 years ago.
I'm still trying to decide if the ribbon and the braid are too much. They aren't exactly the same shade......and it would be easy enough to take the ribbon off. Eh. I'll probably just leave it as is!

Love this pillow finish! I think the ribbon adds a nice touch.

I LOVE the ribbon! If you're really worried about it not *matching*, then maybe you could replace it with a darker ribbon in a shade closer to the braid. But I like it as is.

I think the pillow looks great!

I'm glad to hear you came to a decision on the wedding piece. Be sure to show us a picture of it once it's made into a bag!! I think it's going to be sooo cute.

Great finish! I think you should leave the ribbon-it's perfect like it is.

I like the ribbon on the pillow. I think it looks great.

Sorry about the wedding project. I've had that happen as well. It has made me very selective about doing stitching for others. Glad you are going to keep it for you and your hubby. I like the shell bag idea.

That's such a cute pillow. I love the fabric. I could take or leave the ribbon, but the cording looks good as is, in my opinion. Great finish!

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
