Weddings and Woodlands

Here is the wedding piece so far. Soon after I started it, my brother-in-law proposed to his girlfriend, too, so I'll probably end up working on TWO wedding pieces before long! I'm considering the M Designs' Celtic Heart for wedding #2. They want to do a Renaissance wedding - yum - so it seems fitting.

I spent most of yesterday working on the Woodland Sampler. I am totally addicted to this piece! DH loves it too....I've told him if/when he opens his counseling practice, he can hang on the wall in his office. But we'll see if I want to part with it! hehehehe

I'll bet the next time you see this one, it will be finished. I have two other samplers by the same designer - Something in Common's Quiet Serenity and Cotton Candy - and although these 2 use more specialty threads, I'm really looking forward to starting them now. They will be a nice change from Miras/MLIs.

I probably won't get much stitching done today - my little sister is coming to visit before she makes her "big move to the Big City." She is moving to NYC next week - can you believe it?!?!? We all think she's lost her mind....but she has wanted to be a part of big-city life for as long as I can remember, and maybe now is as good a time as any to chase those dreams. I'll miss the little brat, though!!
