Friday Night Finishing Frenzy

So as usual, I'm slow with pictures.....but I have an excuse! Thursday night DH asked if I'd accompany him to a midnight showing of X-Men 3. And like the goofball that I am, I said yes...despite the fact that I was still feeling the effects of the time change from Denver AND I had to work the next morning. What can I say, I'm not always the smartest cookie in the jar.
*yawn*
Last night I was feeling inspired, and broke out the sewing machine. I grabbed the itty-bitty bear ornament that I finished while in Denver, and came up with this -

The finished pillow is about 2 inches high and 3 inches wide. I figure I can add a bit of ribbon around the star buttons to turn it into a hanging ornament or package tie-on for a baby gift someday. I used a yellow fabric with stars on it for the back of the pillow. It isn't spectacular by any stretch of the imagination, but it is more interesting than the crummy little plastic frame that came in the kit....

I also got the Celtic Spiral ready for pillow-ifying, and will hopefully have a pic by Monday (since it is a long weekend here - yay!).

Today I lounged around in my PJs for a good portion of the morning, watched "Secondhand Lions" (cute) and stitched on my Just Nan heart. Ooo, I'll take a pic of that this weekend too..... This afternoon I'm off to thrift store shop with my best friend T. I'm not really in the mood to shop right now, but I know that if I don't make myself get out and be social from time to time, I'll turn into a crazy cross-stitching hermit lady.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
