SBQ, 4/5/2006 and Non-Stitching Worries

Since this IS my stitching blog, I'll start with the SBQ....

Do you stitch "on the go?" (On the commute to and from work, during your lunch break, waiting for the kids, etc.) If so, do you have a specific "travel" project or do you just grab whatever you happen to be working on and take it with you?

Not usually. My "commute" is a 10-minute walk (or a ride from DH in bad weather!), and I don't have any kids to wait for! I do have a small project stashed in my desk drawer at work that I could stitch on during lunch, but I usually meet up with a couple of other ladies to play cards in the dining hall at lunchtime. There are times when I really WANT to stitch at lunch, but that would mean getting up early to pack myself a lunch....and I'm just not that motivated... LOL If we are traveling to visit family, I'll often bring some stitching along. I tend not to stitch around my in-laws (not that they'd mind, I just don't feel like talking about my projects with them, I guess?) but I do stitch at my folks' place all the time. And any time I have to fly somewhere, I stick an ornie kit or 2 in my carry-on. Oh, but I don't stitch in cars -- barfiness ensues.

And I just wanted to say thank you for all the compliments on the Celtic Spiral! That really isn't a very good pic -- I'll try to get one that is clearer and with truer colors next time. It may be a finish soon....

And now the non-stitching (with apologies if it is TMI)... Yesterday I had my annual gynecological check-up (blech). Well, the nurse practitioner found a lesion on my cervix. Ick! She told me "not to push the panic button," and she wants me to come back in a couple weeks so the doc can take a closer look at things. I immediately went home and called my mom. It turns out that she had a similar problems back before I was born...all taken care of and nothing bad came of it. So I'm not worrying - or at least, I'm trying not to. But dang it, I sure feel unsexy... *sigh*

Erin, be sure to let us know what the dr. says. I'm sure it will be fine but I know it's worrying. Hugs!

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
