Have you ever participated in a needlework mystery (i.e., a design that you started before knowing how it will look in the end and by which you receive parts of the design via the internet, magazines, or leaflets at spaced intervals)? If so, why did you decide to do the mystery? What appealed to you about it? Did you enjoy it? If you have not done a mystery, would you ever do one?

Nope, I've never done a mystery. The closest I ever came to starting one was the French "Mystery Garden" freebie that ran last year -- I DID print out all the installments, so I could do it later. I guess I'm not a big fan of not knowing what I'll have in the end! Also, I'm a notoriously slooooow stitcher, so I can easily see me getting behind, getting frustrated, and giving up.

I just realized how very little stitching I've done this month. *sigh* I didn't even set any goals for the month -- maybe that was my subconscious telling me that I wasn't going to do anything??? Hmmmm. I already know that the rest of this week is pretty much shot....tonight I have to work until 10 pm (covering some hours at the reference desk for a coworker) and tomorrow I have my not-so-annual appointment with the opthomologist. I hatehateHATE going there....it makes me panicky and nervous....knowing that he could discover a diabetes-related problem with my eyes that is undetectable to me at this point. Scary. I know it SHOULDN'T be scary -- I mean heck, if he finds something early, it can be fixed with lasers and such -- but I'm a total Type A control freak, and the idea that my health has gotten one up on me is terrifying.

So everyone stitch some happy thoughts for me tomorrow, ok? Thanks!

Hope your opthalmologist visit went OK, Erin - sorry I'm a bit late replying, but I'm just starting to catch up again after my last visitors left. Just want to say, too, that your pillows turned out awesomely! Great job! :D

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
