My X-Rated Holiday Stitching

Well, it was my intention to pull out "Once Upon a Time" today to join in the Mira/L&L SAL....but I just wasn't in the mood. Starting January 9, DH will have class again - 3 nights a week - so that is when I'm planning to break out the big frame with OUAT. So SAL girls, please don't think I've forgotten about you!!

Yesterday we spent the whole day cleaning and preparing for our mini party -- we had another couple over for pizza and board games. It was a lot of fun, but I was so TIRED by the time they left!! hmmm, maybe it had something to do with my need to not only clean but completely re-arrange our living room..... It was worth it, though, because I love the new layout. Hopefully I'll stay happy with it for a while, since there isn't much left that I haven't tried with our existing furniture!

And now for the explanation of my post's title. I've been working on a little bear pattern for my friend's baby, known as "Cubby" before she was born. (I actually started a design over Christmas, then found a better one. *sigh*) Anyway, the pattern is a bear wearing a floppy straw hat and holding a big purple flower. I started with the bear, and got her little paws stitched. At this point, DH looked over my shoulder and asked, "umm, honey......does that bear have boobs?" LOL!!! I looked at it for a second, and sadly....he was right. Without the head or the flower stem, my bear looks....well.....rather well-endowed. Judge for yourself. (When finished, it will be the pattern on the top left. I'm stitching it on mint green lugana.)
It is actually a pretty small design - it shouldn't be more than 5"x 7", even after I add the baby's name and birthdate - but there are so many color changes......

What a crack up with your booby-bear! Have to admit, I agree with DH too ... that's just too funny! :) I'm finally getting on top of my blog reading, hence the late comment ...

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
