Santa was gooooood to me this year!

We've returned from Christmas with my folks, and all is well. Gifts were given and recieved -- Sis loved the veggies I stitched on her apron, and it didn't take Mom TOO long to figure out that her coaster had a teacup and the letter "t" stitched on it (needless to say, I don't think I'll be in a hurry to stitch anymore of that series!). DH was happy with his gifts, too...especially the romantic weekend I booked for us in February on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We've been there a couple times in the past, but only to the US side and usually with some family member or other who wanted to do the quick day trip. And room rates in Canada are MUCH more reasonable than most of the decent places I found in the States!

As for me....Mom not only got me a new 9" x 24" scroll frame, she also gave me a $50 gift certificate to Silkweaver!!! Gah!!! Now I just have to figure out how to spend it...any advice?? hehehe She said she tried to use the website to order the certificate, but got confused, so she called them directly. When she told the gal on the phone who the gift certificate was for, they said, "oh, Erin....we know her!!" How sweet. Of course, now my mom is beginning to understand what a true stash junkie I am.....

And DH got me an AWESOME digital camera!!! Hooray! It is a Canon PowerShot A620 (for those who know anything about digicams). I've been having fun playing so far....here are a few shots I've snapped.
My kitty, thoroughly unimpressed with Mommy's new toy. (Since DH was at work today and I was home alone, she was the only available picture subject!) You can almost see her little damaged jaw and teeth here.....

And here, at long last, is a progress pic of "Once Upon a Time"!! I think I got the colors pretty true-to-life, at least on my monitor. I worked on it a bit today, in between naps.... *grin* Tomorrow I have to work at the library (stupid) AND lifeguard in the evening. Since tomorrow is the only day this week the library is open, maybe I can sneak out early....or stitch through my lunch break, maybe??

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
