The ultimate in stitching ADD...

Last night I decided to skip my evening jog and stitch. I put in a few stitches on not one, not two, but THREE different projects!!! First I worked my way down to the bottom edge of the maiden's skirt on "Once Upon a Time" -- so I could do the gold metallic border and then start rolling toward the top of the piece (there are beads in the top - the maiden's hair - so I thought it would be easier to finish the bottom first). Then I was tired of light blue floss, so I grabbed the little ornie kit UFO that I worked on yesterday. I got almost all of that finished...but got bored before I got to the backstitching. So when DH came home, I pulled out TW's "Regal Peacocks" and did a couple lengths of blue-green. Phew!

I've also decided that I LOVE Piecemaker needles. I picked some up the last time I was at my LNS, and finally opened the package last night. Wow -- they slide through the fabric so smoothly! It was wonderful.

I must confess, though....I was bad. (I swear it is a monthly thing -- when PMS rolls into town, I NEED to buy stuff.) I bid on one of Summer Truswell's "Dancing Maiden" designs on eBay, and won it for only $1.49. So yesterday "Esmeralda, the Dancing Princess of May" arrived in my mailbox. She's quite pretty! I've looked at the rest of the series, but I'm not sure I like the front-view faces. Esmeralda has a side profile, and I'm looking forward to stitching her. Yet another "Someday" project. *sigh*
