More Stash Acquired

As the winter cold drags on, I find myself wanting more pretties.

I was looking through my electronic files, and found the "Norma June" pincushion half-doll that was published in Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher.
I started trying to hunt down the half-doll that Giulia used - it was from an Australian maker, and VERRRRRY expensive.  So I sent out a few tentative Etsy inquiries, and have been talking to a lovely artisan who could probably custom-make something for me....I just can't quite pull the trigger on it.  It would still not be cheap (although significantly less than the one pictured, which is now a custom order AND from Australia)!  But.......
I found another dress pattern, this one from an old issue of The Gift of Stitching.  The doll used is smaller, and I found an antique one that was the correct size on eBay for about $25.  That seemed worth the risk.  So, thanks to a mash-up of screen shots, here is what I'll be attempting sometime in the future -
I'm not yet sure if I'll get those exact colors of floss and fabric, either.  The blue/brown floss is a dyed one I don't have access to, and the gold underskirt fabric looks like it could be maddening to work with!  So I may improvise.  We'll have to see.... (once the doll gets here, maybe I'll see if I can find a green to coordinate with the inner "chemise" bit of her dress?)

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
