September Smalls SAL

September already? Looks like I'll need to pick an ornament for my daughter soon!  But for now, here are my finishes for the Smalls SAL.

LHN's "Welcome Inn," from the 2015 Sampler Tree ornament series
I stitched this one as charted, with the flosses called for.  But there is at least one teeny change...I read the chart incorrectly, and the top of the pudding she is holding is supposed to have one pink stitch (a berry, I assume) with 2 green French knots - more like the bottom of her apron.  I realized my error when I got to the apron, but then decided I liked my pudding to have 2 little berries on top with no leaves.  :)

And I thought I'd share this one, too.  I finished it a while back but found it in a pile the other night.  Oops.  It is "ABCs of USA" by Myrtle Grace Motifs. stitched on an unknown fabric using (what I think are) my own floss substitutions.  I think I meant to finish it for my seasonal smalls basket in the summer, and never got around to it.*

*note that it is still an unfinished finish...

This is a lovely pattern, with or without leaves on the pudding!

I like to two red berries - I think it is a great change.

Well done! You made the berries a custom change!

Such a cute holiday design! I think the pie looks tastier with just the berries. ;)

Adorable welcome piece. Who needs leaves in their dessert?

Two lovely finishes. I agree with the others, two berries are better than one!

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
