I mentioned a few posts ago that I was having a piece re-framed for my mother - well, it is finished, and I think it turned out great!
Here is the original, as a reminder.
And here is the do-over.
The green is definitely a better shade than the original, and I like the effect of the double mat with the purple. And there is glass on it this time - the framer used a deeper frame, and created a shadow box effect by lining the inside of the frame with the green mat. I think it is great, and can hardly wait to give it to my mom this weekend!

I think it's quite lovely - great gift!
It looks great. I think the more modern flat frame suits the project better too.
Love the new Frame and double mat. I also really love this piece. I have not heard this expression before and I really like it.
