Muriel Arrives

Some of you may have been following the adventures of Madame Muriel, whose most recent stop was in DC with C.  Well, yesterday she arrived at my house!  She has asked that I turn my blog over to her from time to time so she may share her thoughts.

Greetings.  I arrived in New York State yesterday - thankfully, it was a quick trip.  The travel pod is convenient, yet I believe that I miss out on a great deal while packed in boxes.  Ah well.

I was looking for the sights of New York of which I have heard so much about (did you know that I am quite a fan of "Law & Order"?), but alas, I discovered that I am nowhere near the Big Apple.  Evidently NYS extends quite far to the west and north!  My hostess was very proud to show off her little house - she informed me that this summer new siding was installed.  It is quite cozy.
The occupants of the house include my hostess, her husband, a small girl-child, a cat and a dog.  The husband just looked at me with bemusement, the cat and dog were less than interested, and the girl-child wanted to look at my "knitting."  Perhaps I shall make it my mission while I am here to teach her the difference between knitting and stitching!

My own quarters are charming - I have my own space in the guest room (Girl-child calls it "Gramma's Room" - evidently the grandmother sleeps here from time to time).
My hostess was, in the past, a builder and collector of dollhouse miniatures.  As a result, she has a comfy bed for me, and a trunk for sitting on and storing things in!  Quite a relief after being in the pod.  The carpet was crocheted by my hostess's own grandmother, and the pillow against the wall is a soothing touch.  I think I like it here.

Well, I'm off to rest up, as my hostess says that later this week we will be taking a road trip to Cape Cod!  I'm not quite sure where this is, but I do love both capes and seafood, so I'm sure it will be an interesting adventure.  My hostess says she will be doing a flurry of cleaning preparation for leaving and sending the Girl-Child to stay with her grandmother.  I've decided I will help by dusting this guest room. (Hostess comment: the guest room is the one room around here that DOESN'T need much cleaning....but don't tell Muriel that.)

How lovely to see Madame Muriel on her travels again. It is a little while since she stayed here with me but I'm sure she has fond memories of her visit .

Looking forward to reading about her future exploits with you.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
