Nothing much

I wish I had more pictures, a finish, new stash...SOMETHING to show you all.  :(  But I don't.  I've been tired, a bit stressed over financial issues, and just not very interesting lately!

I DID discover Joan Elliott's blog, and via that her newest "Medieval Maiden" pattern, which was published in an issue of Cross Stitch Collection.  I made a half-hearted attempt to find the magazine, but it seems that my local Barnes & Noble has seriously reduced their needlework magazine inventory.  And really, that is okay, because 1) I don't have the funds to justify another stash purchase and 2) I already have all 3 of her first medieval series ("The Reader," "The Gardener," and "The Musician").  Plus her "Fairy Enchantment" book, and I'm sure a few other patterns of hers in various collections.  So if I want to stitch a Joan Elliott design, I certainly have some options!

I'm soooo ready for Celebration of Needlework at the end of the month.  (I budgeted for this, plus Mom sent some birthday money to help out a bit - I may still have to be careful on the shop floor, but at least I can go and enjoy stitching and my class without worry!)

Financial issues are no fun at all. I hope you enjoy yourself at the Celebration of Needlework ~ we all need a little spoiling every once in a while ;)

The good news is that Joan usually issues her designs as chart packs six months after they've been in the magazines.

If there is ever a UK mag you are desperate to have then let me know, but I will warn you, postage is really bad now, it nearly doubles the price of the mag!

Have a great time at the Celebration.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
