What I've Been Up To...

Well, as of this past Sunday we are completely moved into our new house. Hooray!! The walls have been painted and the bathroom updated, but unfortunately our new carpetting did not arrive in time. Grrrr. So we've been holding off on dong any permanent furniture arranging until that is done...hopefully before Christmas, but if not, next week....

We've also discovered some "quirky" plumbing and electrical problems, so that has put a bit of a damper on the excitement. Thankfully the plumbing was a relatively inexpensive fix! I guess that is what happens when a house is essentially maintained as a museum to a relative who has passed on for 2 years. (Really. That is what happened -- the last owner died in 2007, and her niece just couldn't bear to part with the house. But no one lived in it full-time, either....which really did a number on it.)

I *did* dig out some of my stitching supplies last night, and started a little freebie from San-Man Originals that I found online recently. Amazing how some floss and fabric can calm me a bit! And for now I'll leave you with pictures of my bathroom (pics should be clickable)...
Before: And after:
I love it so much more now!! It still needs a bit more storage space, but at least it isn't overwhelmingly PINK....

I love your new bathroom. I'm not a pink person either. This park model was entirely done in pink when we moved it. It has all disappeared.
Glad you are all moved in.
Merry Christmas hon.

I think your updated bathroom looks great! Wow, that was a lot of pink in the original room. Hope you had a nice Christmas!

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
