Playing catch-up

Once again, I've fallen behind with the SBQs.

January 3: Are you starting something new to celebrate the New Year or participating in "Guilt Free January?" If so, what are you planning on starting?
Nope, no starts for me. I've got quite enough to keep me busy right now, with the Mermaids, a few little WIPs, and the Neighborhood RR. However, once the freebie (from my post below) is finished, I *might* treat myself to another start or 2...

January 9: What was your favorite finish of 2007?
Hmmm. While the "Celtic Spirit" piece was definitely my biggest accomplishment, I think my favorite finish was the wedding piece I created for my BIL and his wife. I'd never done a band sampler-style piece before, because I thought they were kind of basic and boring. However, I had so much fun with this one! The satin stitch bands were just challenging enough (since I'm a perfectionist who wanted everything to look EXACT), and I love the way the verse I charted turned out. And now I'm hunting for more band samplers to try.....

Stitching update -- I've spent the last few nights working on a beach scene for Kathy's Neighborhood RR. I don't have a picture yet, but I'm quite pleased with what I came up with! It is a bit different from the other squares that have been stitched so far. Songs like "Kokomo" and "It's 5:00 Somewhere" were my inspiration!

Can't wait to see how Kathy's RR turns out. She's up here from Arizona for the next two weeks so I hope she can squeeze me in for a visit!

So am I really one of the "cool kids". I was always such a geek in HS and not part of the in crowd!

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
