It's DONE!!!

Last night I put the final beads on....today at lunch I'm heading to the framing shop.

Joan Elliott's "Celtic Blessing," from an issue of Cross Stitch Gold

stitched on 32-ct. Bay Rum jobelan (not quite as pink as this pic looks on my computer!)
changes: backstitched lettering changed from blue to red, used different blue beads than the ones called for.

I'm soooooo glad to have this one done. The amount of backstitching was absolutely staggering...each individual "border" is backstitched, as is all the knotwork. Eeesh! I can still see a few messy spots, and I feel like the backstitching made some of it worse, somehow...but the recipients aren't stitchers, so I'm sure they'll never notice. Now, if anyone wants the magazine with the pattern, let me know -- because I will NEVER do this one again!!! LOL

Huge congrats on a well earned finish! Don't sweat the small flubs, you probably won't be able to see them yourself after a while.

And there's no way I'd even try something with that much backstitching. Yowch!
