Stashy Rainbow Goodness

My eBay goodies arrived on Friday...I meant to post this sooner....The fabric is Enchanting Lair's "Purple Horizon"...and the flosses are Tie Dye, Polar Bear, and Ultraviolet by Carrie's Creations, followed by Bluebells and Grace Kelly from The Dye Is Cast. I don't really have plans for any of these pretties yet, but I might use the Bluebells for the verse on Cricket Collection's "Reading Sampler" -- it would be a gift for my mom. Of course, she has requested a zillion different pieces...at least I know she actually wants the stuff I stitch for her, I guess!

I spent most of the weekend working on the wedding gift....blah. A bunch of backstitching, and more blue, green, and gold -- it never ends. I haven't had time to take a pic, but trust me, it doesn't look that different from the last one I posted. Sigh. Oh, but I DO have one progress pic to share...here is the Gaelic freebie from Gryphon's Moon, the one I originally wanted the Grace Kelly hand-dyed for.I'm doing it one-over-one, so I didn't need the extra Grace Kelly - what I'm using for the letters - after all. The knotwork is done in some floss I got in my win from The Gift of Stitching, called "Painter's Threads" from Tentakulum. The actual color I'm using is Chagall.

And now, on a completely unrelated note, I'd just like to say that wearing low-rise jeans is hell when you have no hips. Thank you, and good night.
