SBQ, 3/29/2007 & life babble

Do you have a system for organizing freebie charts in your stash? If so, what is it? Do you print out copies of all of the freebies that you find on the web (that you think you might actually stitch) or do you maintain electronic copies of them until you are ready to stitch them?

OK, bear with me here.... lol
When I first discovered the wonderful world of internet freebies, I printed everything off and stored it in a 3-ring binder. I divided my binder into a couple sections - Christmas, other holidays, dragons (for all those great Dragon Dreams' charts!), and miscellaneous. But eventually my binder was stuffed, and I needed a better system.
Now I save all the free patterns I find in a file folder on my hard drive, and every so often I back it up by burning all of them to a rewriteable CD. I tried assigning subjects within the folder, but it got too confusing, so for now there is just a gigantic list of patterns there! They are named designer first, then pattern name, so a sample might look like this: Dragon Dreams - Morning Wizard. That is usually enough to help me find what I'm looking for, and it definitely helps me avoid downloading multiple copies of the same pattern. Oh, and I've managed to go back and find some of the old patterns from my binder and save them as electronic copies, thereby cleaning out the binder a bit....
I don't print anything anymore unless I'm ready to stitch it.

DH had all 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday, so my weekly routine feels rather out of sync now. Since I had to drive him to and from his appointment, and stay with him for the better part of the day (they gave him nummy-nummy sleepy drugs), it certainly didn't seem like a Thursday! I overslept this morning and was late to work.....eek. But while I was waiting at the oral surgeon's office, I did stitch a little bit on Just Nan's "Wintry Mix."

I don't see me getting a whole lot of stitching done this weekend -- my folks are coming to visit tomorrow. Tonight will be spent doing some cleaning/straightening/hiding, tomorrow we'll be entertaining, and Sunday we'll probably order pizza and lie around recovering! (Wait, DH probably won't be able to have pizza....hmmmm.)

Owie on DH's wisdom teeth! Not fun! I have been there done that! I am with you on the charts gotten online. I only print what I need!

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
