Blame (or thank?) DH...

...because otherwise I wouldn't be up and posting this late! He needed help on a poster presentation for one of his grad classes, and who better to ask for graphic design/layout help than a scrapbooker?!?!? hehehe So I spent a good part of the weekend and a bit of time tonight getting crafty with glue and scissors. (Don't worry, DH's professor knows I'm doing this - all the material is his, I just played with colors and stickers and things for presentation purposes.)

While DH was writing a paper - also for class - I took the time to take some pictures.

My new favorite - the finished Celtic Spiral pillow. It is about 9 inches square and backed with a dark blue denim-y fabric. I just love the bright colors!

Just Nan's "Lady in Red Heart" from a 2005 issue of Just Cross Stitch (March, I think - don't have the magazine in front of me right now). This was what I worked on while I was in Denver. I'm stitching it on Lavender Bliss lugana, and while I really like the way the pinks, purples and greens show up, there are a few little white flowers that are a bit lost in the fabric. Oh well.

And finally, the latest progress pic of "Once Upon a Time." The lady's hair and dress are DONE except for the beads, and now it is on to the castle, the dove (you can see a bit of a white wing to the left of her face), and the gold border. I've started referring to her as "Miss July" because I'm thinking she might be done then! I'm so excited. As soon as she is finished - and photographed, of course - she'll be going STRAIGHT to the framer. With DH's blessing!! He knows what an accomplishment this will be for me - my first "big" finish ever......

Congrats on the finish!

Your Once upon a Time is just lovely. She's been in my "To do" pile for a long time now ;)

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
