This morning I put in the last few stitches on the Celtic Bonding Spiral!

Thanks for all the input on the wedding sampler. I'm waiting for the groom's mother to add her suggestions, but right now I've pretty much eliminated the Drawn Thread piece. I love it, but as someone pointed out, it is VERY large, and perhaps more than I can take on (I don't know yet if they've set a date). The Joan Elliott "Wedding Prayer" keeps calling to me - but, rebel that I am, I'm not ready to stitch anything "as charted". So I've been playing with a similar magazine design by Joan (from Cross Stitch Gold, issue 27), and attempting to chart a bit of the sonnet from the Drawn Thread sampler to fit it. I've had to improvise on a couple of letters, but it seems promising so far.....

It's really pretty. I love celtic stuff. We have some really good friends who do the renn. fairs. They do Pennsick (thought I knew how to spell it until I started typing.)There's another one they do but it escapes me at the moment. It looks like such fun.
I looked at your flickr photos. Your work is so nice. I like your scrapbooking, too. You're brave to venture from the chart. lol But it obviously works for you. :)
Congratulations! Wonderful finish.
Ahhh it looks great and the colours are so fun!
Wonderful finish!
Oooh I really like it! Love the colors. I also got some great ideas from the wedding samplers you posted. I love the "Castle Keep" design. I just might stitch it for my DH and I.
I saw your "Stitching the Standard" freebie. Just gorgeous! I actually have the entire chart of that design from Uncharted Territory, but I have yet to attempt it. Maybe soon...
The bonding spiral turned out beautifully! The colours are divine - I adore bright colours :) Way to go!! :D
That is lovely Erin - the colors are just gorgeous. Congrats on the finish.
