SBQ and the Monthly Recap, Goals and Pics to Follow

First, the SBQ, suggested by Cheryl.

What cross-stitch magazines or other publications (as opposed to blogs) do you read on a regular basis? What do you like about them? What do you not like? What would your perfect publication include?

Hmmm. Well, I just subscribed to "The Gift of Stitching" online magazine!! Truth be told, though, most of my cross-stitch-related magazine purchases are based on an attraction to the patterns, not so much the articles. (I subscribed to The Gift of Stitching because I love the sampler on the cover of this month's issue.) I do like to read about other people's projects, and the more pictures, the better! The "how-to" articles aren't usually my thing, though.
My perfect publication? Wow. That's a hard one! My tastes can change from day to day....sometimes a magazine with a fantasy theme sounds great, sometimes I want ornie patterns, sometimes I get on a designer kick and want everything by them that I can get my hands on..... I guess it would have to be a VERY eclectic publication. :) Lots of pictures, stories about other stitchers, and being able to find at least one pattern in every issue that I MUST stitch.

FEBRUARY RECAP:
1) Get new knobs for my scroll frames. Many of the ones I have are stripped, and don't hold my fabbies tight enough. Yep - picked some up at Jo-Ann's going out of business sale.
2) Finish "EduCATed" and/or "Bonding." YES - EduCATed is finished! Bonding still has a ways to go, though.
3) Take finished Baileigh-Bear to LNS for framing. Well, I tried....the one time I got out to the LNS, she was closed. >:(
4) Pray for decent weather so Mom can come out and help me get started with the sewing machine. I prayed, but the weather and schedules did not cooperate! Actually, though, Mom and Dad are coming out this weekend -- Dad is going to build me a crafty work area in the basement -- so maybe Mom and I can do a bit of sewing....

Oh, Erin! Please share pics of your new sewing area, o.k.!?

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
