Do you stitch "over one?" If so, describe your experiences. If not, have you considered it?
I've stitched over one a few times, and while I CAN do it, I don't particularly LIKE it. One of the reasons I've heard many people give for liking over-one designs is the fact that they look more "real," especially for areas of flesh/faces/etc. Well, I tend to think that if I wanted "real," I'd buy a painting or photograph. When it comes to my stitching, I like it to look stitched! That said, I do have a few things in my stash that call for over-one stitching, and I'm sure that I'll eventually get to them. Who knows....when I do, maybe I'll decide that over-one is great!

And now, a sad puppy story.
Yesterday we took Lily to the vet for her spay surgery. Because we felt that her previous owners had lied to the humane society about various health-related things, we wanted to KNOW that she was spayed. Well, they shaved her tummy, and all 3 vets in our clinic had a look/feel at her....and all three felt that after palpating her and looking in vain for ANY kind of scar that she was NOT spayed. We reluctantly told them to proceed with the surgery. And once they'd cut her open.....no girl parts.
So my poor little pooch has been spayed....twice. As much as paying for it totally sucks, it sucks even more to know that we put her through surgery again. *sigh*

Poor little Lily I hope she is doing ok today.
Aw, poor Lily :-( I took one of my cats to be spayed years ago, and this was just after she had gotten out for two days... the vet called to let me know that during the surgery they discovered she had been pregnant :-( We try so hard to be good pet parents.... I am sure Lily understands you are just trying to take care of her.
Poor baby! She will forget it with lots of TLC from mom and dad.
