Friday! (by MY calendar, anyway)

Well, it isn't the greatest quality scan, but here he is..."EduCATed"!! I think he is just the cutest little guy. The DMC conversions worked just fine, and I'm glad I didn't go spend extra for the WDW & GAST that I didn't have. I wish I was confident enough to try lacing the piece myself, because it will fit nicely in a standard 4"x6" frame, but it is linen, and very stretchy/slippery. *sigh* Hmmm. Maybe my framer/LNS owner will just stretch and lace it for me, and not charge me as much? I'll have to ask. Since I'll be taking in the birth announcement for a full custom frame job, she might be more inclined to help me out. Lord knows I've been giving her plenty of business over the past year or so!!

Today is Friday for me because my parents are coming this weekend -- so I'll be spending tomorrow cleaning. LOL Not really a vacation, I guess! DH is in Iowa until Saturday for his great-grandmother's funeral, and it is a perfect time to clean up and have my folks out. Not that they don't love DH or that he doesn't love them...I just don't get much time alone with my mom and dad anymore, and it is nice. Von, I'll try to get some before and after pics of the craft area...it won't be just for sewing, since I have WAY too many hobbies and currently very little space for ANY of them! Basically I'll have a nice L-shaped counter space in the basement, with room for drawers underneath and a cabinet/shelf arrangement above. The sewing machine *should* fit on part of the counter....we'll see what happens, though. Dad and I sometimes have conflicting "visions" when it comes to building projects... hehehe

Have a lovely weekend, all!

Educated turned out great! So adorable! I agree that in this case having the specialty threads doesn't effect the outcome, it's cute no matter what!

Have a great weekend!

Very cute cat, Erin!
I know about having too many hobbies, lol! An L-shape will be ideal for you and sounds like you will have lots of storage too. Here's a link to my blog entry about my sewing space:

I love looking online for other people's sewing rooms to get ideas and just for fun!!
Enjoy your time with your parents. :D

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
