Spending spending spending

For whatever reason, I haven't been in the mood to stitch much this week. Hmmmm. I HAVE, however, been in the mood to accumulate stash/"stuff"! I ordered those 2 Fantasy Faire patterns from ABCStitch - and can I just say, Marie is wonderful. Great customer service! If I lived closer, I'd be jumping all over that job opening in her shop.... And I've been cruising the Bay of Evil a bit too much lately. I've yet to bid on anything, though, so wish me some willpower over there, ok?!?!?!?

Oh, and I also ordered 2 CDs from CDBaby. I love that store! They carry mostly independent-label stuff -- little-known artists and out-of-the-mainstream material. I ordered "On the Drift," which is a compilation of tunes inspired by Joss Whedon's short-lived (but really awesome!) series Firefly and performed by the Bedlam Bards, and an album of Celtic-y traditional tunes on oboe called "Silver River." The main reason I bought the Celtic oboe album is that there is an arrangement of a beautiful harp tune called "O'Carolan's Farewell to Music" on it. I found the sheet music over the summer, and it is totally gorgeous....I'm looking forward to hearing it performed by a professional-caliber oboe player, though! Ordering from CDBaby is a hoot, too.....the order confirmation email comes with a subject line of "CDBaby loves [your name]!" and then they send a wacky shipment notice as well. Almost makes me want to go back and order something else.... (Which I'm sure is part of why they do it!)

Last night I pawed through my stash until I found a bit of dyed evenweave that I think will be perfect for the Lanarte "Classic Woman" pattern that Gill (from The Wagon) sent me last month. Of course, I'm missing 3 DMC colors, so I can't start it yet...but it is up next, I think! I'd like to get "EduCATed" done - maybe this weekend? Or maybe I'll give in, run to A.C.Moore (DMC, 8/$1 this weekend), get my 3 colors, and just dive in to a new project......

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
