January Goals and an SBQ

I did pretty well with my goals for December....
1) Finish "Night Wizard." DONE, and entered in Silkweaver's Showcase.
2) Put in some time on at least one of the following -- "Once Upon a Time," the Dragon Virtues afghan, and/or the love poem I started for my sister a looong time ago (she has a possibly-serious boyfriend now!). Yes. (I worked on both OUAT and the poem for Sis.)
3) Start an ornament - I have most of the materials for the Britty Kitty ornie from the 2005 JCS issue. Nope. But I DID start a birth announcement for my friend T.

JANUARY GOALS:
1) Participate in the Mirabilia/L&L SAL, and make some progress on Once Upon a Time.
2) Make progress on T's baby announcement.
3) Stay out of the LNS!!! Once the baby announcement is finished, I'll take it in for framing, and perhaps grant myself a bit of "reward" shopping....but not until then!!

Not a big list this month....but I've been really driven to finish/work on bigger projects lately. I'm sure in another month or 2 I'll be including a few smaller projects again.....

OK, on to the SBQ from last week (not sure how I missed it!).
How do you balance your stitching time with your other obligations such as work, household chores, etc.?
This is often a problem for me. Work isn't much of an issue - I'm in my office 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, and can't stitch while I'm here, although I DO blog and poke around on BBs from time to time - but housework and other hobbies leave me feeling like there just isn't enough time in the day. I don't like cooking or cleaning much as it is, and if I can curl up with my stitching and ignore those things, I will. I worry sometimes that my DH will start to resent my stitching..... (this is part of the reason why the Mira/L&L SAL is being moved to the backburner until he is back in class). Also, I'm a juvenile diabetic and have found that if I don't get some strenuous exercise 3 or 4 times a week, my blood sugar is MUCH harder to control. So I consider my visits to the gym to be an obligation as well......

Stay out of the LNS? LOL!!

I was browsing my stash earlier today and swear I still need more fibers : ) OK, will have to make do with what I own. No LNS shopping for me either, sigh.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
