WIP pic

I posted this over on the TWBB, but thought I'd put it up here, too. This is the Dragon Fire Designs' "Once Upon a Time" castle pattern from Just Cross Stitch.



I'm stitching it on a piece of SMF linen that I got in one of Mindy's eBay auctions. The label on the bag said "Jewels". The funny thing is, I bought 2 pieces of fabric, and asked her to pick a piece that would suit Dragon Dreams' "Once Upon a Castle" pattern - and she did send a beautiful teal-blue-green piece for that...but I abandoned that project for this one when I saw this pattern! Oh, and I switched the Kreinik braid. The pattern called for a blue-black color called Dragonfly, but I used Amethyst instead. I love it with the purple in the fabric!

Who knows when this will get finished...right now the browns are driving me a little nutty, so I switched to my "4-Square Peep" pattern that I'm stitching for a friend's baby. Hmmm, maybe I'll even post a pic of that next week - I'm on a roll!!!
