A green autumn? Why not?

Well, I showed up at the courthouse yesterday but was not selected for the jury - not surprised, really.  It was interesting to watch the process, all the same.

I didn't get to stitch much while I was there, but when I got home I kept going on this piece - Mother of the Harvest, a freebie from the Little Stitcher.  Is it strange that I'm doing it on a very light green fabric I found in my stash?  I tried on all the tan/brown/aged stuff I had, but just didn't like it.  It felt like too much got lost.  So green it is!  And since it is 80+ degrees here today, it seems fitting.  Oh, and I got a one-time subscription to Stitchybox...*blush*...my only shipment came last month, and included a greeny-brown hand-dyed chenille trim that I can envision with this.

You may have to wait until the end of the month to see this one, as it will probably be my monthly small.

Thank you for the link to the Mother of the Harvest - was just looking for a November Freebie and this one will be perfect - I think the choice of green will be perfect. Can't wait to see the finish

Wish I could get back to cross-stitch, I just keep knitting and sewing right now, but love your finishes.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
