One of my stops on my hunt for the perfect alphabet was Cyberstitchers' free pattern collection. While browsing their recent additions, I found this absolutely beautiful fairy freebie.... The finished size is about 10" x 11". It looks an awful lot like some of Passione Ricamo's designs, though...I hope it wasn't "borrowed." (And if parts of it were, is there a copyright enfringement? I don't know how that would work.)

More Design Ponderings and a Gorgeous Freebie
Well, I got an email from the groom's mother last night -- her pick is either the Joan Elliott piece or the Celtic Heart. I'm working on charting part of Sonnet 116: "Love is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken," and so far I think it will fit best in Joan Elliott's border. I just can't find something that feels right with the Celtic Heart. Right now I have it laid out with "LOVE" in ornamental caps and the rest of the quote in a medieval-feeling backstitch alphabet. I thought I might do a sampler line of some kind at the bottom of the quote, and then do the names and date in a smaller font. If I use the Joan Elliott design, I'll have an area of about 70 x 70 stitches to work in.....
