I absolutely love this. (And yes, I've shared in a bazillion places. This is how you know I love it.)
The door does close, but of course when it is closed you can't get decent straight-on picture of the inside. And oh, it makes me smile! The stitching, the shells (collected by a friend who has passed), the baubles, the glass mermaid....love love love.
I'm slowly accumulating a lot of mermaid things...now I just need that husband of mine to start the remodel of the basement half-bath, because that is going to be my "mermaid room." Of course, now a part of me wants to renovate my crafting space instead, and make a cool "ocean nook" in one corner!!

Looks great! Very creative :)
I love this! So creative.
What's not to love! It is super fabulous Erin! BTW back in olden times (1977-1981) I worked in my college library (Lewis and Clark) for my work study and believe me, I worked!
Gorgeous! Really creative.
A creative finish.
OMGoodness, I love it! Now I need to pull out my mermaid patterns and see what I can add to my candles!
I love everything about this! You finished it perfectly!
Squee! How darling. You have such clever ideas!
What a fantastic display idea. Those small items can be tricky to display and this is a wonderful idea.
