Hoping your Halloween was happy!

*yawn*
It is COLD here in upstate NY, but that won't stop a herd of under-10-year-olds from trick-or-treating....even if their parents protest.  LOL  I spent over 2 hours walking around with my kiddo and her friends last night, and this morning there just isn't enough coffee!  But she had a good time, and got quite the haul of candy, so all is well.

In the spirit of things, here's a little finished finish.
The stitched piece is Plum Street Samplers' "Bugs and Hisses," which I finished years ago.  I kept envisioning it as a basket or box wrap of some kind, but just never saw a container that was quite right.  Then a month or so ago, I picked this one up at JoAnn Fabrics.  It IS the perfect size height-wise, but the shape gave me issues.  The sides are angled - kind of a \_/ shape instead of a nice smooth rectangle.  So I thought if I fit it to the top measurement and added some elastic to the bottom, it would fit pretty well.  Well, I don't think it was the wrong IDEA, but my EXECUTION may have been a bit sloppy!  Ah well, from the front you can't really tell, and that is what matters.  And I learned a bit about using elastic....so there's that.
