Oops.

I didn't mean to place an order, I really didn't....

....but.

After finishing the "Sharing" piece below, I got obsessed with Quaker/primitive/homespun style pieces.  Perfect for my kitchen!  And how convenient that someone shared this on a message board I frequent.  Must have!!

And then I saw Country Cottage Needleworks' "Cowboy Dreams," which reminded me in a bittersweet fashion of my husband's stepfather - a country vet who is currently suffering from Alzheimer's.  I know it is "kid" oriented design, but perhaps that is why it spoke to me the way it did.  He is such a sweet man, and the family has always referred to him as a true cowboy.

So they'll be coming to my house soon.  I should probably get cracking on "Cowboy Dreams" ASAP, because realistically (and sadly) we don't know how much longer he will be with us.  I know his wife - my MIL - will love the piece, too.

The Quaker design is lovely, I can see why you grabbed it.
The cowboy piece has a very bitter-sweet feel to it, I think it's a lovely idea to stitch it for both of them and I am sure your MIL will treasure it.
