WIPoca-whaaaaat?!?

Look, a FINISH!!!
"Mom's Tearoom" by De Selby
in The Cross Stitcher (US magazine), April 2004
I'm so glad this one is done.  It has definitely reinforced my extreme dislike of Aida fabric....bleh.  And although it wasn't a terribly complicated pattern, it just got so monotonous!  Plus, I was doing my best to keep the back as neat as possible (no, I did NOT take a picture of the back).  Anyway, it is done and has been packed up to send to Mom as a birthday gift - just in time, her birthday is Saturday!

I worked hard to get this done before I go to Celebration of Needlework next week...I'm signed up to take Lynda Keske's "Butterfly Garden" class, and now I don't need to feel so guilty about adding to the WIP pile.  LOL  I was tempted to start something new last night, but I was strong and resisted!  I'd also love to buy a few things - Little House Needlework's "My Lady" has been in my mind lately, I'm envisioning adding a birthstone charm for my daughter where the birdcage is - but again, there will be the show floor at Celebration.  Save the cash for that, right?

Yeah, I've stitched on those towels before...not as fun as was expected. Nice finish though, your mom will be chuffed!

Pretty, pretty my dear. I iron a piece of fusible web on the back of such pieces to protect the stitches and to hide my stitches too.
Congrats on another WIP finish.

Craft Sale!

So my mother and I set up our little table at the craft fair this past weekend.  And we didn't do terribly!  I sold $125 worth of needle...
